Live at Bibliotheque (audio)

Listen to a conversation with my first editor, the novelist Megha Majumdar
1

Hi! Today I’m sending a subscribers-only audio note, because I have something really special to share. It’s my conversation with Megha Majumdar, author of A Burning, one of 2020’s most celebrated novels. Megha was also the former editor-in-chief of Catapult, my publisher—and the editor for my first book, Every Day the River Changes. She was instrumental in helping to launch my career, and her guidance and feedback have marked my writing ever since.

This past week, at Bibliotheque, a popular wine bar and bookstore in SoHo, we shared the stage for the first time. A cozy, sold-out crowd enjoyed a curated selection of wine from the Andes as we discussed my new book, Stranger in the Desert; travel writing for a new generation; and the journeys, inward and outward, that define us. We also discussed our editorial work together. Here is a portion of our conversation. I hope you’ll listen and let me know what you think.

All the best,

Jordan -
